A photomosaic is a cool way to show off your photographs. You use
hundreds or thousands of photos to create a larger one.
It sounds like a lot of work. But, these days it is relatively
easy to create a photo mosaic. You'll find software that will help
you create a mosaic from your photographs.
But, I have a photomosaic that will put yours to shame. National
Geographic's Infinite Photograph is composed of hundreds of
thousands of photos!
When you visit the site, you're presented with a single
photograph. When you move your mouse over it, a yellow square
appears.
To get a closer look, click on the photo. It will zoom in,
revealing smaller photos. As you continue to click, you'll see even
more photos. The more you click, the more you'll see!
You can also learn about a particular photograph. Just
double-click the photo. You'll see where it was taken and more
information about it.
This project is really cool. And, it continues to grow. If you
want to be a part of it, you can. You can submit your photos to be
included in the mosaic. Just remember that National Geographic's
standards are high!
